Research Activities
Nanomaterials are extremely fine materials with a size of one billionth meter. We study to synthesize such fine materials with high quality using chemical techniques and to improve our lives. We have developed new nanomaterials without any conventional grouping of organic, inorganic, and metallic materials. Appropriate design and precise control of surface/interface modification and structuring are extremely important in order to maximize the excellent performance of nanomaterials. We use synchrotron radiation, X-rays, and electron beams to synthesize and evaluate nanomaterials that cannot be seen with our naked eye.
