Usage of synchrotron light for food, agriculture, and life science

I have researched the usage of synchrotron light for food, agricultural products, model experimental organisms, and cultured cells. We have established the Center for Agricultural and Life Sciences using Synchrotron Light (A-Sync) to encourage the approach (image 1). About 30 researchers participate in A-Sync now. The mission of A-Sync is the promotion of the usage of the Next-Generation Synchrotron Radiation Facility in this field, both in the university-industry research collaboration and academic research. This plan was selected as the large-size study plan "Master Plan 2020" by the Science Council of Japan (image 2).
